About Me
June 21, 2008
Hailing from an island off the coast of South Carolina, Beth Jones had an interest in fashion from a very young age. It began with designing clothes for her paper dolls as a little girl and over the years has grown into her undeniable passion.
Living “across the pond” in London strengthened her desire to use her creativity and after settling in California in 2003, she found a place that encouraged her aspirations for more than the mundane life. She will admit to being side-tracked into the “daily grind”, and after a few years of the cubicle jungle she broke free.
In January 2007, Beth officially decided to pursue her dream of a career in fashion. Her love for one-of-a-kind and unique pieces drew her to vintage clothing and with this she developed the idea for “The Vintage Society”. Initially the idea was to open her own shop that would create an environment where women could come together to design and inspire an individual style, but with any vision it started to grow and change.
“The Vintage Society” took on a life of it’s own when Beth started a fashion blog that featured and emphasized style “the Society Girl way”. All the ideals of the store took life inside The Vintage Society Blog.
Beth plans on continue to develop and grow The Vintage Society website as well as pursue a career in styling and writing.
